Because of the strip mall location on Powell I avoided walking through Vixens doors for quite a while; Now that I've been I regret not going sooner. Dave and I were told by a friend that they did wine flights on Friday so we headed over. They do not, flights are a Saturday only event. An excuse to go back the next day! Friday night had live music, we looked around almost immediately finding a bottle I've been wanting to try for a few months called Tantrum. The bottle was $18. After the $5 corking fee it was $23. NOT BAD, especially for opening a bottle anywhere but home. I love places that look grimy and when you get inside its warm and the people all want to share whatever they are having. The employee working was maybe the most knowledgeable person I've ever talked to. He was completely unpretentious, patient, warm, funny...They only have cheese and crackers but you can bring your own food which I love the idea of. They do classes also, I'm most interested in one called how to look like a wine snob in under 2 hours. They also have food pairing classes (one for vegetarians even) and classes for couples. This is by far the best wine store/bar I've been to, if you like wine and want to talk to people that are easy going and know what the F they are talking about, people that don't just recommend the bottles they like but listen to what you want go to Vino Vixens.

Sounds like a great place! I especially like the class on being a wine snob! Several years ago I tried to educate myself on wine but I just ended up drinking too many flights and getting a huge buzz...
